BELINDA MRAVICIC, PRODUCER
Mravicic Films is a female owned production company, producing richly diverse stories that have screened in Australia and prestigious film festivals around the world.
As an independent producer, Belinda Mravicic produced THE DARK EMU STORY in collaboration with Blackfella Films, which premiered in Official Competition at the 2023 Sydney Film Festival and won the 2023 Walkley Award for Excellence in Journalism: Documentary.
With Blackfella Films, Belinda co produced Rachel Perkins’ THE AUSTRALIAN WARS. In 2022 the series was broadcast on SBS/NITV and won the 2024 AACTA Award for Best Documentary or Factual Program.
In 2022 Mravicic Films produced Clare Young’s film LOVE FOREVER, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti Short Film Competition.
Belinda produced the web series DEADLOCK, which premiered on ABC iview and won the 2018 AACTA Award for Best Online Video or Series.
Mravicic Films produced the short film WATER with John Harvey, premiering at the 2017 Adelaide Film Festival, going on to screen at numerous festivals, including the 2017 imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival in Toronto, 2018 Melbourne International Film Festival & 2020 Tampere Film Festival. The company also produced BLACK CHOOK, written by Bruce Pascoe, directed by Dylan River. The film premiered at the 2016 Sydney Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival in Toronto. BLACK CHOOK was also nominated for Best Indigenous Filmmaking at the 2017 St Kilda Film Festival.
In 2015 Belinda produced the short film ALONE, directed by Erin Good. She also produced INTO MY ARMS, directed by Angus Stevens, which premiered at the 2010 St Kilda Film Festival and was awarded the Special Prize at 2010 In The Palace Film Festival.
Belinda was Associate Producer on Jane Campion’s THE WATER DIARY, premiering at the 2006 Festival De Cannes in the Sélection Officielle.
